EPA providing up to $3M in funding to reduce diesel emissions from school buses

EPA has implemented standards that require diesel engines to be more than 90% cleaner, but many older diesel school buses remain in operation and predate these standards. Since 2008, the DERA program has funded mor than 500 clean diesel projects across the country. These projects have reduced emissions for more than 50,000 engines.
