MG has settled the argument over the cheapest new electric car by shaving $2000 from the price of its updated ZS EV. It is powered by a 130kW/280Nm electric motor driving the front wheels and is claimed to provide 320km of WLTP range. MG, on the other hand, says it will only receive about 2000 ZS EVs by the end of 2022.

Toyota Motor Europe (TME) posted 2013 first quarter sales of 197,309 Toyota and Lexus vehicles in Europe. During that period, Toyota and Lexus full hybrid sales reached 38,673, up 82.3% Full hybrid models now constitute around 20% of total Toyota and Lexus sales in the first quarter, doubling from the same period in 2012.

The CR-Z hybrid powertrain is a variation of Honda’s original IMA (Integrated Motor Assist) technology, which made its debut on the 2000 Honda Insight, the first hybrid vehicle available for sale in North America. Normal mode standardizes steering, engine response, motor assist and air conditioning settings.

The HYbrid4 system is fitted with an electric motor with a maximum capacity of 27 kW and a maximum torque of 200 N·m at the rear. Magirius also announced the expansion of GKN’s Shanghai Technical Centre originally established in 2000. The GKN Driveline drive unit is capable of delivering 1500 N·m of torque to the rear wheels.

Bloomberg, citing anonymous sources, reported Wednesday that first year sales of the automaker's plug-in hybrid could quadruple that of the Toyota Prius' U.S. It took about five years for the Prius, which sells for about $22,000, to reach annual sales of 60,000, Bloomberg reported.

Called up the Tata Motors team, who were super helpful. I did a video call with the regional head of service at Tata Motors, Jaipur. In case of any battery overheating or current surges, the switches disconnect the battery from the motor. Tata Motors had also sent a cab, in which Kamlesh and Abhishek returned.
