Hyundai Motor puts XCIENT Fuel Cell electric trucks into commercial fleet operation in California with $3.5M from EPA

The tractor’s hydrogen tank can hold 67 kg of hydrogen with the battery providing 72 kWh for a gross combined weight of 37,200 kg to deliver an average range of more than 450 miles per tank. This will be the largest commercial deployment of Class 8 hydrogen fuel cell electric trucks in the US.

TERP awards Vision Industries and project partners $500K to support Texas’ first public hydrogen fueling station

Vision Industries Corporation, Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), Air Products and project partners were recently awarded $500,000 from the Texas Emission Reduction Program (TERP) partially to fund the building of the first public hydrogen fueling station in the state. It will support a fleet of 20 Hydrogen Class 8 trucks initially.

USDOT FTA announces $182M in Low-No grants for transit vehicles & facilities nationwide

The electric buses will replace CTA’s oldest diesel buses and reduce greenhouse gases in communities that have experienced air pollution and other environmental health hazards, improving public health and quality of life.
