The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona is a Detroit anomaly: it’s a passenger car in an age of trucks and SUVs, it’s battery-electric when U.S. The world’s “only” electric muscle car? Dodge bills the Charger as “the world’s first and only electric muscle car.” Dodge says the EVs that replace them will be just as noisy.

This project started about a month ago when I became co-chair of the Oregon Electric Vehicles Association.
