The S2000 is a third vehicle for us so I won't be down a car while doing the conversion. 2003 Honda S2000 Curb Weight: 2800 lbs Battery space: Not much. I should be able to get 45+ miles per charge and need around 37 to get to work one way where I'll be able to recharge for the return trip home. ABS brakes, Air bags, etc).

Later, after recharging at John & Nancy, the "Spirit" made a run to the North Texas Mensa "Texas Hold'em," in East Dallas and returned with a 69.8MPG for 81 miles, doing in the process some 99.9MPG fro 13 or so miles. Jack lives in Murray, UT and wants to get into the EV conversion business, maybe even PHEV conversion business!

Unfortunately during the first stages of the conversion I focused on getting batteries in and soon found I didn't have room for the AC. There are refrigerants that contain oil, but it's not enough for a complete recharge so you'll need to do the math and figure out what you need. The recharge process is simple.

Speaking of recharging at work I just got word that everything is go on the plug getting installed and the job is suppose to start next week with a two to three week time frame.

More cells means I have more energy and can travel further before recharging. The number of new cells I'll add is still not firm but I'm looking to add as many as possible for multiple reasons. Greater range. Distributed load. The more cells I have, the less they have to work for my daily commute which will increase the life of the cells.

CellLog8 allowed me to easily monitor each cells voltage to determine when a cell was too low during the load test or too high during recharge. This will track the Ah used for me and give accurate results compared to trying to calculate this myself based off of ever changing voltage/amperage as the batteries drain.

I was expecting only 240V so this is nice I will now add two separate plug types on the car so I can recharge anywhere (120V plugs are much more common here). There are two connectors which you must wire into the outlet style you want (one for 120v and one for 240v). Here is the charger. Elite has a variety of options here.
