H2 Green Steel and BMW Group sign final agreement on delivery of CO2-reduced steel

Green Car Congress

In a pioneering move, both companies have therefore agreed to have 40% of the pre-consumer steel scrap of the volumes returned to H2 Green Steel's electric arc furnaces for re-cycling. The plant will be fully integrated, with hot charging at each step along the production flow. The plant will also maximize circularity.

MIT researchers devise simple catalytic system for fixation and conversion of CO2

Green Car Congress

The new reaction, described in an open access paper in the RSC journal Chemical Science , transforms carbon dioxide into a negatively charged carbonate ion, which can then react with a silicon compound to produce formate, a common starting material for manufacturing useful organic compounds. doi: 10.1039/C4SC00132J.

ICCT: incremental technology can cut vehicle CO2 by half and increase fuel economy >60% through 2030 with ~5% increase in price

Green Car Congress

The ICCT also made several changes in nonbattery pack assumptions, such as the cost of charging equipment. In its analysis, the ICCT used 100-, 125- and 200-mile BEV electric ranges rather than the 75-, 100- and 200-mile ranges used by EPA.
