The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is now operating the largest fleet of electric buses in North America. While the other eBuses use DC electricity to charge, BYD vehicles use AC. The money is being used for these electric buses and to begin laying the infrastructure for future expansion of the TTC’s zero-emissions fleet.
