Redeem was the first commercially available RNG vehicle fuel, derived from capturing biogenic methane that is produced from the decomposition of organic waste from dairies, landfills, and wastewater treatment plants. The company has added three new CNG trucks to its 8-truck fleet, which will fuel at Clean Energy’s station in Commerce, CA.

California offers an array of incentive programs to help fleets defray the higher upfront costs of electric trucks. Funds are also available through the EPA and the Volkswagen Environmental Trust. It boasts a range of up to 500 miles, and can charge at 750 kWh—nearly three times the rate of other electric trucks.
