Japanese automakers plan to increase exports of small cars with engine displacements of 1-1.5 Foreign demand for small cars has been growing in part because of stimulus measures in some countries to encourage consumers to replace their cars. The car has an engine displacement of up to 1.5 liters by the end of 2010.

The short-term stimulative effect of preparing America's cities, highways and byways with wiring, hiring electricians and other workers, would be significant. nk, today has about 2500 EVs on the road.

Coulomb Technologies unveiled San Francisco's first ChargePoint America charge stations yesterday in a Priority Parking lot along the Embarcadero. The charge stations and installations were paid for with federal stimulus and California Energy Commission grants won by Coulomb. Nissan LEAF buyers are excluded. But for whom?
