AJR Trucking , a leading carrier for the United States Postal Service (USPS) and a major drayage carrier operating in the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, has executed a purchase order for 50 Nikola Tre hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) trucks from Tom’s Truck Centers, a member of the Nikola Corporation sales and service dealer network.

These projects put more than 9,000 alternative fuel and energy-efficient light-, medium- and heavy-duty vehicles on the road, and establish 542 refueling locations across the country. The state of Texas is now offering rebates on select electric vehicle (EV) purchases including some Tesla models, as made available through a limited-time grant program. Earlier this year, the state’s legislature also proposed and passed an EV tax , making EV owners pay extra fees to help fund road maintenance.

The US House of Representatives has passed the “Tax Extenders” Bill (HR4213) by a vote of 241 - 181. Tax rules relating to sales required to implement federal and state restructuring policy for qualified electric utilities. The “Tax Extenders” Bill will now go to the Senate.
