The Electrification Coalition released two case studies outlining how two cities— Houston, Texas and Loveland, Colorado —are saving money by using electric vehicles (EVs) in their vehicle fleets. Loveland is now aiming to convert all of its light-duty fleet vehicles that work within a close distance of the city to EVs.

AT&T plans to invest up to $565 million as part of a long-term strategy to deploy more than 15,000 alternative-fuel vehicles over the next 10 years. The new deployments will bring AT&T’s alternative-fuel fleet to more than 15,000 vehicles by 2019.

The City of Santa Monica, California has awarded Clean Energy a multi-year liquefied natural gas (LNG) contract to fuel its Big Blue Bus (BBB) fleet of vehicles. Clean Fleet Report’s was painted in Cityscape Green, but the most eye catching element from the side view is what Kia calls the Aero Blade. Clean Fleet Report was driving the Niro SX Touring model with heated and ventilated front seats covered in vegan leather that is soft to the touch and looked pretty good. Story by John Faulkner.
