SK Innovation invests $30M in ammonia fuel-cell startup Amogy

Amogy has completed a demonstration test ofan ammonia-based fuel cell system in a 5kW-class drone and a 100kW tractor, and plans to apply the technology to trucks and ships by next year. When transporting 1 kg of hydrogen from Australia to Korea, the cost of liquid ammonia is $1.7—half —half that of liquid hydrogen ($3.4).

Mercedes-Benz’ GLC F-CELL fuel-cell plug-in hybrid SUV coming in 2017

Daimler will introduce a series-production fuel-cell plug-in hybrid—the Mercedes-Benz GLC F-CELL—in 2017. The B-Class F-CELL and the Citaro FuelCELL-Hybrid urban bus have together now clocked up in excess of 12 million kilometers (7.5 Earlier post.). ZeroAvia unveils hydrogen fuel cell powertrain for aviation

ZeroAvia prototype shown powering a 6-seat Piper M-Class aircraft, already in flight tests from February 2019. It will also be more economical than conventional turbine engines, or even the battery-based systems, on the total cost basis.
