The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) has selected AeroVironment to supply, install, operate and maintain twenty-two (22) electric vehicle (EV) fast-charging stations along major transportation corridors and travel destinations in northwest Oregon. Funding for the project came from a $2 million U.S. states since late 2010.

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced $10 million in research grants to spur production of biofuels, bioenergy and biobased products that will lead to the development of sustainable regional systems and help create jobs. Vilsack highlighted the announcement with a visit to Michigan State University, a grant awardee.

Oregon-based Fred Meyer Stores, a division of The Kroger Co. Fred Meyer will receive a total of 40 LNG trucks over the next several months, making Fred Meyer the first in Oregon to deploy a fleet of heavy-duty LNG trucks. In 2013, it improved fleet efficiency by 2.59% compared to 2012. Kroger has invested $6.5 since 2008.

The US Environmental Agency (EPA) has granted California’s waiver request enabling the state to enforce its greenhouse gas emissions standards (Pavley I) for new motor vehicles, beginning with the current model year. The resulting new national standards will cover model years 2012-2016, and will require an average fuel economy standard of 35.5

announced that the 2012 Prius Plug-in has been approved for the State of California’s Clean Vehicle Rebate Program ( CVRP ). The 2012 Prius Plug-in also offers consumers eligibility for the State of California’s HOV lane sticker. These grants are available when a vehicle is either purchased or leased for 36 months or longer.
