The fuel engine on the Volt is used to run the generator to recharge the battery when a trip exceeds 40 miles, and it’s rage on a full tank is around 400 miles. A Tesla or other electric with similar range would suit me just fine… The problem with the Volt, though, is that it’s just an incredibly ugly car.

Range is another issue if electric cars are expected to be adopted by the average American and not just used as city cars. I have an EV all composite body/chassis that goes 80mph and 100+ mile range I’d like to put into production so I think I’ll give Oregon a call. Your main concerns have already been addressed.
