Hyundai Motor has secured $3.5 million in 2021 Targeted Airshed Grant (TAG) funding from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to deploy five XCIENT Fuel Cell electric trucks in California. This project is led by the South Coast Air Quality Management District (South Coast AQMD), which applied for the TAG funding.

Hyundai Motor Company announced that its fleet of XCIENT Fuel Cell heavy-duty trucks in Switzerland has accumulated more than 5 million km in two years. The XCIENT Fuel Cell is equipped with a 180-kW hydrogen fuel cell system with two 90-kW fuel cell stacks. The driving range is over 400 km per charge in real world conditions.

Hyundai will go ahead with its plans to build a production version of the wild zero-emission Hyundai N Vision 74 concept it first unveiled back in 2022, says a new report. Air Liquide recently was chosen to supply two new hydrogen filling stations in Korea, designed and developed by the Group’s Advanced Technologies teams.
