Overall, Toyota reported an increase in total light duty vehicle sales of 40.7% on a volume basis; Ford saw its sales jump 42.7%; and Honda reported an increase of 22.5%. According to Autodata, total light-duty vehicle sales in the US grew 24.3% Sales of the Honda Civic Hybrid dropped 79.8% in March to 11,786 units.

With 745,997 cars and light duty trucks sold in September, according to Autodata, sales were down 22.7% Honda hybrid sales dropped 6% year-on-year to 1,898 units.
