In June, Plug In Carolina selected AeroVironment to supply, install and support a network of public electric vehicle stations in seven South Carolina cities. Eaton’s quick charger can recharge the iMiEV to 80% of battery capacity in 25 minutes. Among those exhibiting were: Aerovironment. Aerovironment’s home charging dock.

At least GM sent this nifty printed banner explaining all about the new J1772 industry standard recharging plug. They even had a real plug connected to their toy car on the exhibit hall. Fortunately there are companies at the Plug-In Conference who exceed expectations and one of them is Coulomb out of Campbell, California.

Chapter member Ian Wright cofounded Tesla then later founded Wrightspeed, a company that built large hybrid trucks in San Jose. Founding EVA chapter connects with entrepreneurial stars.
