The 914 AC kit uses 8V golf cart batteries and I'm wondering if different batteries like Hawkers or Optima Yellow-Top batteries would be better. Both US-Battery and Trojan have 8-volt golf-cart batteries. This week is packed, so I might get to hooking up the back-up light wiring on the EV if there's time on Friday.

You can indeed make an argument for anyone of those 3 Tesla models being the most important vehicles in helping make EVs mainstream. Except they really haven’t.

One of the advantages for EVs over ICE vehicles is their greater torque and quicker acceleration off the line. I just received an email from Kia with the chart below touting their 2023 Kia EV6 GT , which has a quicker 0-60 time than various performance vehicles from Porsche, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, BMW, and Ferrari. EVs are quick.

They are either glorified golf cart city cars like this one or they are only for the very wealthy like the Tesla. GM says it is already looking ahead to the next generation of Volt-based vehicles — it unveiled the Cadillac Converj concept in January — and says costs will come down as the technology spreads to more models. GM is developing more fuel-efficient vehicles. My first car (and last GM vehicle) was a Chevette. Thats short-sighted.
