General Motors is adding a new $167-million investment in its Spring Hill assembly plant, brining the total spending on the plant to $350 million in support of two future mid-size vehicles. GM Spring Hill Manufacturing, home to the former Saturn brand from 1990 to 2007, operates as a fully integrated complex.

GM today announced two contracts to "design and test lithium-ion batteries" for use in the Saturn Vue Plug-in Hybrid announced last month at the LA Auto Show. According to the press release, two variants of Lithium batteries will be "evaluated in prototype Saturn Vue Green Line plug-in hybrids beginning later this year."

Unofficial sources anticipate that liftoff will occur around 5:55 pm EST. If Falcon Heavy does launch shortly after sunset, it could put on a spectacular show , lighting up the twilight skies for hundreds of miles up and down the East Coast. While the records of N1 , Saturn V , and Energia still stand, all three were retired decades ago.

At some point in the future, SpaceX may attempt to use its towers and chopsticks to catch Starships and Super Heavies out of mid-air and speed up reuse. Saturn V, the most capable rocket ever flown, was fully expendable and could launch up to 118 metric tons (~260,000 lb) into orbit. SpaceX has, nonetheless, made significant progress.
