IKEA US announced a collaboration with Electrify America and Electrify Commercial to bring ultra-fast public charging stations and delivery fleet electric vehicle (EV) charging to more than 25 IKEA retail locations throughout the US. The first locations are expected to open in late 2022 and be completed by the end of 2023.

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced the availability of $26 million in grant funding to establish clean diesel projects aimed at reducing emissions from the US’ existing fleet of diesel engines. Region 5 (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin): EPA is requesting proposals between $500,000 and $2,500,000.

Region 5 (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin) will accept applications requesting up to $3,000,000 in grant funds.

The partnership will accommodate both passenger and commercial fleets as Electrify Commercial is also a part of the deal. This is the first collaboration between Electrify America and Electrify Commercial, as the two companies have never installed both public and fleet chargers simultaneously on a single project.

This proposed agreement will add 14 major European cities and 10,000 vehicles to Free2move’s existing car sharing fleet of 2,500 vehicles. Portland, Oregon, Denver, Colorado, Columbus, Ohio and Austin, Texas. Free2move also operates car sharing in Europe (Paris and Madrid).
