Hyundai Motor Group introduced Factory Safety Service Robot, a robot for industrial site safety, and announced its pilot operation at Kia’s plant in South Korea. Through the pilot operation at Kia’s plant in South Korea, the Group will use the Robot to support late-night security patrols and create a safer environment for workers.

Hyundai and Kia develop ICT-connected predictive shift system

Hyundai and Kia plan to apply the technology on future vehicles. During system development, the companies filed about 40 major patents in South Korea and abroad. The 3D navigation input includes elevation, gradient, curvature and a variety of road events as well as current traffic conditions.
