There was a nice selection of books, especially guides to the flora and fauna of the High Sierras. I pulled an old issue of Sierra (the magazine of the Sierra Club) from July/August 1997. We also found magazines ( Utne Reader anyone?) CDs and Blueray DVD movies and documentaries.

Plug In America, along with the Electric Vehicle Association and the Sierra Club , joined the effort and the first National Plug In Day was held on October 16th, 2011. Attend an online or in-person event. In 2014, the day was expanded to a whole week and National Drive Electric Week was born. Watch an EV parade. They’re safer.

was also spotted, along with author and radio personality Richard Greene, LA’s mayor, members of NRDC, The Sierra Club, Heal the Bay, and more. The event was organized by filmmakers for the documentary recently released on DVD, Fuel , directed by Josh Tickell- who was also in attendance and speaking at the rally.

So I sought the Bolt out at the EV events I attended and saw it for the first time in person at Exposition Park, but the car was locked and there were no Chevy people around to present the car. Showing Sierra Club bigwig, Evan Gillespie how much cargo room our car has. I sang the praises of the car and how GM stood behind it.

We covered: global warming, nuclear power, clean air, smart growth, globalization and the environment. And on globalization we actually had a union person speak. I personally want us to do more about us getting out of Iraq but the committee voted against me and said it was not an environmental issue. It’s terrible.
