36/48 volt. This is a 24 volt system, and made for flat, hard surfaces. The quadrunner has been stripped of everything ICE, and I have retained what electrical will be needed for lights etc. Should I look for a straight axle with chain conversion? Here''s the project and the plan. Motor was lost long ago.

EV Grinning, we have just completed our conversion from gas to electric, two weeks ago the Fiero passed it's safety test with no problems. and taking about 6 hours to charge @ 10amps per charger from a standard 115 volt ac plug rated at 15 amps. We had the car licensed and plated the following week.

My first Instrument Idea involved the adaptation of a digital volt meter as the pack voltmeter. one just needs to measure the resistance of an analog meter and divide that by the voltage to determine the resistance per volt. Therefore my meter was 518 ohms/12 volts = 43.16 At this point I still hadn?t t tested the Unit.

A couple weeks ago deer hit me on the way to work and destroyed our car, we were going to replace the car with another "beater" as a commuter car but thought this would be a perfect time to realize our dream and convert a car from gas to electric. Here he had just drove the car onto the car trailer for us (Uhaul rocks).

Conversions are mostly for the Prius, with a few for the Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner hybrid SUVs. At that point, we expect the aftermarket companies prices to have come down sufficiently so that their conversions will be attractive to owners of hundreds of thousands of hybrids already on the road. So far, most start as hybrids.

t got this thing totally mapped out yet but I am leaning toward the warp 9 impulse motor from Netgain, and the zilla controller and a 144 volt configuration. I have reviewed Bob Braynts book as well as the el moto motorcycle book ( which was entirely to expensive for the 40 page leaflet style thing they sent me, $40 I do not recommend it!!)

Perhaps more interesting than the ride, at least for some electro-geeks, are some of the pictures Doug took of the battery pack on display that will go into the electric smarts. For 20k at that size it should have been electric to begin with. from the Tesla Roadster. For this to happen there has to be a detuning process.

Currently, there are some industrial facilities that use battery swapping to replenish the energy stores of electric forklifts. Perhaps more importantly, quickly "pouring" electricity into many of the batteries available today may stress the very expensive component and shorten their useful lifetime.
