Having one of the Detroit Three pull out of auto shows leads to ringing of alarm bells. Especially since it wasn’t that long ago that previous versions of what is now Stellantis were known for putting on elaborate press conferences during media days (especially in Detroit). Even if it’s just a temporary move. I could be wrong.

The Volt is the plug-in hybrid car GM showed at last January’s Detroit Auto Show. But I can’t help thinking that this technology will make the current crop of hybrids like the Toyota Prius and Ford Escape look like Ford Excursions. Yes, the Volt should be Lutz’s legacy. I know the Volt isn’t here yet. Estimates vary.
