If current rates of decline continue through 2020, the state will need to reduce emissions at a rate of 4.97% each year in the decade between 2020 and 2030, and produce even steeper declines in the period from 2030 to 2050, if it is to meet current climate goals. But the effects of these efforts seem to be reaching a plateau.

China is exporting so many EVs that it needs more ships – a lot more

By comparison, Japan tops the list with 284 ships, followed by Norway, which has 102. Hence, cheap EVs coming your way (well, not in the US, at least not yet anyway). China now has the world’s eighth-largest shipping fleet with 33 car-carrying ships, according to data from shipping consultants Veson Nautical and reported by Reuters.
