The California mix for 2021 was interesting, with many of a few vehicles and a few of many. The good news about the list of EV and PHEV sales from last year is there were 86 models listed, though several were cars that have gone out of production (like my Chevy Volt) but still managed to have a few laggards left for sale.

Fisker, an electrical car production startup founded in the US, has mentioned it is going to assemble its Republic of India debut throughout the nearest few months with its flagship Ocean electrical SUV. The corporate mentioned that it is going to get started production in the neighborhood within the nearest few years.

I was in Carson California last month at their City Council meeting to speak on behalf of the resolution I asked them to pass to approve participating in a feasibility study on community choice aggregation (CCA). . Carson was the sixth city to have our resolution on their agenda, the five others having already passed it.

PG&E services the San Francisco area and Northern California. Darbee noted that although California has about 12% of the population, it has about 25% of the demand for plug-in hybrids. He said that they thought it very likely that California and Northern California would be the epicenter for the PEV market.

One of the proposed changes to the federal EV tax credit that has flown a bit under the radar is also one of the most political and protectionist in nature. Effective January 1, 2022, electric vehicles with final assembly* (see definition at the end) in China would no longer qualify for IRC 30D (federal EV tax credit).

New vehicles to be deployed include 55 CNG vehicles, 363 propane vehicles, 89 hybrid electric vehicles, and 56 neighborhood electric vehicles. The project will deploy 262 heavy-duty LNG trucks in Southern California and construct two LNG refueling stations in San Bernardino and South Gate (South Los Angeles) to support J.B.
