Prius drivers were stereotyped as left-lane camping, NPR-listening, Green Party-voting smug virtue-signalers. But it was based in one truth – the Prius might save you a lot of gas but man it was no fun to drive.

In May 2008, Toyota saw its Prius hybrid car turn it towards profitability in America and it scrapped plans to build a sport utility truck plant in Tupelo, Mississippi and chose to build a Prius plant there instead. Yet when gas prices tumbled later that year, plans for the Prius plant were shelved.

MidAmericans David Sokol, BYDs Wang, and company advisor Li Lu flew with Sokol from Detroit to Omaha so that Wang could meet Buffett in person. " One more thing reassured him.
