Unfortunately, car companies in India like Maruti, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Renault, Kia, and Volkswagen have not launched even a single electric car. This car takes large sums of money to run as well as expensive oil changes and engine maintenance. Chinese auto will play a significant role in the auto industry in the future.

Many in the auto industry are warning that realistic BEV range numbers under varying conditions need to be widely published , else risk creating a backlash against EVs in general. Range risk concerns obviously are tightly coupled to EV charging availability. It would not be surprising to see it follow Mercedes’ lead.
