Plug In America joins global alliance

Last week, 37 electric vehicle (EV) driver associations from 26 countries, including Plug In America, joined forces to create the Global EV Drivers’ Alliance, building a worldwide EV community. Like Plug In America, the Alliance is calling for every new light-duty passenger vehicle sold in their countries to have a plug by 2030.

New BMW Brilliance engine plant with light metal foundry in China; high-voltage battery production to come

BMW Brilliance Automotive (BBA) opened a new engine plant with a light metal foundry in Shenyang today. In addition to combustion engines, the new engine plant will also produce high-voltage batteries for future Plug-in Hybrid models. The new BBA plant will supply BMW Brilliance’s Dadong and Tiexi automotive plants.
