Porsche opens first Charging Lounge

Porsche is planning to set up its own fast-charging stations offering a premium charging experience along Europe’s most important routes. As a pilot site, the first Porsche Charging Lounge has opened outside Bingen am Rhein. Further Porsche Charging Lounges are currently planned for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Porsche and Frauscher developing electric sports boat; PPE drive technology

Porsche and the Frauscher Shipyard in Austria are developing an electric yacht—the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air—that is intended to set standards on the water with its typical Porsche E-Performance. With the 800-volt technology from Porsche, the electric boat can be charged at DC fast-charging stations.

Hubject connects eleven energy suppliers to create the largest Austrian charging network for EVs

First Tesla Supercharger in Switzerland

With more Supercharger stations opening soon in Germany and Austria, Model S owners will be able to drive through Germany to Switzerland and Austria this winter, Tesla said. Superchargers provide up to 120 kW of DC power directly to the Model S battery using special cables that bypass the onboard charging equipment.
