Porsche is planning to set up its own fast-charging stations offering a premium charging experience along Europe’s most important routes. As a pilot site, the first Porsche Charging Lounge has opened outside Bingen am Rhein. Further Porsche Charging Lounges are currently planned for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Volkswagen Group delivers 42% more all-electric vehicles in the first quarter

Porsche adopts new production process using patches, not plugs; Taycan EV first

Porsche AG has developed a new production process at its headquarters in Zuffenhausen in collaboration with Tesa SE. Using this process, the holes in the car body, which are necessary for corrosion prevention, can now be sealed much more effectively; these holes are required so that all of the body cavities can be accessed in the paint shop.

Volkswagen Group’s all-electric deliveries up 25% after nine months; BEV share climbs to 6%

Volkswagen Group deliveries of all-electric vehicles were up 25% in the first nine months year-on-year. Despite ongoing supply constraints, 366,400 BEVs were handed over to customers until the end of September, up from 293,000 in the prior-year period.
