2017 Cadillac XT5 initiates new series of Cadillac luxury crossovers; cylinder deactivation and stop/start

Cadillac unveiled the first 2017 Crossover Touring 5 (XT5), a comprehensively upgraded luxury crossover and the cornerstone of a new series of crossovers. Cadillac crossovers will wear the “XT” designation. In the US market, the 2017 Cadillac XT5 will be powered by the new 3.6-liter Technology.

V2V safety technology now standard on Cadillac CTS sedans in US

Cadillac introduces Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) communications this month in the CTS performance sedan, which is in production now. Cadillac’s V2V solution uses Dedicated Short-Range Communications (DSRC) and GPS and can handle 1,000 messages per second from vehicles up to nearly 1,000 feet away.

GM introduces new Super Cruise features to 6 MY2022 vehicles

GM China sales top 4M vehicles for the first time in 2017; SUV sales up 37%

General Motors and its joint ventures sold more than 4 million vehicles in China for the first time in 2017. The company benefited from record domestic sales by the Cadillac, Buick and Baojun brands. In 2017, GM added 18 new and refreshed models in China. Its sales for 2017 as a whole were up 4.2% turbocharged engines.
