BYD wins order for another 406 electric buses in Bogotá, Colombia

BYD won an order to deliver another 406 battery-electric buses to the Colombian capital of Bogotá, coming shortly after a previous announcement on 17 December of the delivery of the 470 pure electric buses to the city. BYD will co-work with Superpolo, a Colombian bus manufacturer, on the body part of the buses for such order.

Toronto now has the largest fleet of electric buses in North America on the road with arrival of third new electric bus model

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is now operating the largest fleet of electric buses in North America. In November 2017, the TTC Board approved procurement of 30 all-electric vehicles. The TTC acquired the 60 all-electric buses from three manufacturers: BYD Canada Co. New Flyer Industries Inc. and Proterra Inc.

BYD delivering 6 electric buses to Martha’s Vineyard; 4 more to be purchased

BYD recently delivered five electric buses to the Vineyard Transit Authority (VTA) in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts; a sixth is scheduled to be delivered by the end of the July.
