The world’s two largest economies—the United States and China—are poised to be the world’s top export and import markets for liquefied natural gas (LNG), respectively, in 2022, according to a new report by IHS Markit. This marks the first time since the early 1970s that Japan has not been the world’s largest LNG importer.

The kerosene and diesel will be off-taken by Uzbekneftegaz under a long term off-take agreement at international linked prices; fuel products will be sold mainly to the domestic market, while naphtha will be exported to downstream refiners. The technology used is similar to that of the pioneering ORYX GTL plant in Qatar.

Suncor Energy has reached an agreement to sell the conventional portion of its natural gas business in Western Canada for $1 billion to a newly established partnership between Centrica plc and Qatar Petroleum International. Boeing launched the 777X program at the 2013 Dubai Airshow, announcing a record-breaking 259 customer orders and commitments for the newest member of its twin-aisle product family. The 777X builds on the 777, which today commands 55% of market share in its category in terms of backlog, and 71% of the in-service fleet worldwide.
