Last week, as part of the little known and unadvertised “Bolt Buyback” program GM quietly created in response to the recall of all their 2017- 2019 Bolts, Chevy paid $37,900 to buy this car back from us. Debra and I finally got our first electric car, A 2012 Toyota RAV4 EV, a joint production with Tesla, in January of 2013.

I used an electric car for 8 years from 2013 to 2021. My blog unearthed a lot of the inner workings on that vehicle. I got an electric car - the Mahindra e2o, back in 2013. Do read my blog , where i talk about the same in greater detail. Avoid buying EV's from such companies. Buying from BIG ICE was a strict no-no.

Several schools of thought exist about buying a set of wheels for a teenager or new driver. The little Kia Soul (specifically 2013, 2017, and 2019 models thanks to survey and other scores) gets a nod, as does the stalwart Toyota Corolla from 2013 onwards. Same goes for a Subaru Legacy from the mid-2010s.

If you don't include bathrooms and buying salty snack foods and sugary sodas and lottery tickets, your desktop can be as little as eight or ten minutes, whereas you may spend 30 or 40 minutes every 200, 250 miles in your Tesla. Now it's much simpler, but if you buy Apple stuff, it all works together. But what about plug-in hybrids?
