Toyota using renewably sourced DuPont Sorona EP Polymer for Prius (alpha)

The new Toyota Prius α hybrid vehicle features automotive interiors made of DuPont Sorona EP polymer, a high-performance, renewably sourced thermoplastic resin. Sorona EP polymers contain between 20% and 37% renewably sourced material (by weight) derived from plant sugar. Toyota launched the Prius α in Japan in May 2011.

Corvus Energy’s marine lithium polymer battery pack used in Europe’s first hybrid tugboat

Lithium polymer battery packs from Corvus Energy were recently installed in Europe’s first hybrid tugboat, the RotorTug RT Adriaan of KOTUG, an international maritime service provider headquartered in The Netherlands. The conversion features Corvus’ AT6500 48 volt lithium polymer battery packs. Corvus uses Dow Kokam cells.
