AT&T deploys 4,000th alternative fuel vehicle

AT&T has deployed its 4,000 th alternative-fuel vehicle (AFV) in its US corporate fleet. The vehicles are part of AT&T’s planned 10-year initiative to invest up to $565 million to replace approximately 15,000 fleet vehicles with alternative fuel models through 2018.

European car market logs best year for alternative fueled vehicles, lowest diesel share since 2001

Poland, Slovakia, Luxembourg and Lithuania all posted record levels of volume, while it was the best year since 2007 for Spain and Estonia, and the best year since 2008 for Romania, Hungary, Croatia and Latvia. In contrast, it was the worst year for registrations in Switzerland since 2010, the UK since 2013, and Norway since 2014.

PG&E showcased extended-range electric truck from via motors at national Plug-In Day event

PG&E’s transportation fleet includes 3,100 alternative-fuel and high-efficiency vehicles, including compressed natural gas, bio-diesel, electric and hybrid units. PG&E joined with VIA Motors in 2008 to develop the extended-range electric vehicle, or eREV. The gasoline engine extends the range to 350 more miles.

Clean Energy will also supply the liquefied natural gas for the fueling station, and once all 40 trucks are active, Clean Energy will supply the approximately one million gallons a year needed to service them. LNG is a viable alternative fuel for Kroger in the future. since 2008.

Honda opens CNG fueling station on Marysville campus; 1st public CNG fueling station located on Honda property in North America

The use of CNG as an alternative fuel allows us to do that. Over the past 13 years, Honda plants in North America have reduced waste sent to landfills by 91.9%; and in the most recent full fiscal year, ended March 31, 2013 (FY2013), CO 2 emissions from the production of Honda and Acura vehicles in North America were down 16.2%.
