Our neighborhood is called the “Hollywood Riviera&# because of its beautiful hillside homes with idyllic ocean views framed by palm trees. So not only is climate change-driven drought cutting our fresh water supply, but the way we use water here also adds to our greenhouse gas emissions.

Good old now dead Jackass, Ryan Dunn, never provided me with a single ounce of entertainment, but he has handily provided me with an apt metaphor for all his fellow Jackasses who keep talking smack and moron-level nonsense about global warming and climate change being a hoax. So he’s got that going for him now. Fair enough.

Ladies and gentlemen your friendly neighborhood Greenius has hit the wall. 10 years ago in 2007 when I tuned 50 I decided that I had made enough money doing work I then considered disposable. Having seen “Inconvenient Truth” the year before I was driven to work on climate change and related environmental issues.

For more than a year now in this blog I’ve been researching and reporting on climate change, energy and transportation issues and related environmental stories covering them on both a personal and a global perspective.
