The news that General Motors would relaunch the infamous Hummer name—as an all-electric truck no less—broke a few days before the high-dollar, high-visibility 2020 Super Bowl ad that introduced that vehicle to the world. Even this article keeps showing the old futuristic version model which GM said can’t be done. For $50k you can get a Tesla sedan which will get hundreds of miles strictly on electric. Sure, if you need to make lots of long trips in a car, and can only afford to have one car, then probably a Tesla’s not for you.
