At the IAA Transportation show, QUANTRON is presenting a family of hydrogen and battery-electric trucks. QUANTRON QHM FCEV 60-2000 and QUANTRON QHM FCEV 44-2000 offer exceptionally large tank capacities of up to 116 kg, which are fully integrated in the chassis and positioned behind the cab.

It has inputs for over RPM, battery under-voltage and temperature as well. During our discussions, they told me about their history with the Deka group 31 series of batteries, which I'm seriously considering using for the Civic-EV project. All the buses in both states now use Odyssey group 31 batteries and have not had any issues.

The flow of energy from the high-voltage battery to the electric motor is controlled by the power electronics that are compactly interlocked with the drive unit.

The Group has developed and built a battery-electric general aviation training aircraft in cooperation with Aero Composites Saintonge (ACS), called E-Fan. Because of timing and availability constraints, off-the-shelf Lithium polymer batteries are used in the technology demonstrator, giving an endurance of between 45 min.

It’s longer than the one sold in Europe, has a genuine third row of seats, a larger battery and a more powerful motor, and available all-wheel drive. That means a higher-capacity battery pack (91 kilowatt-hours of total capacity, of which 85 kWh is usable, versus 82 kWh total in the European two-row), in a vehicle that’s 10 inches longer.
