The US Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) has recently made two awards to researchers to support multi-year projects on the development of thermoelectric (TE) waste heat recovery technologies. The projects are part of a larger Air Force initiative to explore the use of alternative energy sources and energy harvesting and storage.

The Synthetic Fuels Division was launched in 2014 as part of the acquisition of Syntroleum ( earlier post ) that included the 75 million gallon per year nameplate capacity biorefinery located in Geismar, Louisiana.
