Taxi Electric, based in Amsterdam, will be the first private taxi company to add the new battery-electric Nissan e-NV200 taxi ( earlier post ) to its fleet. Taxi Electric operates a fleet of 25 Nissan LEAF vehicles and was the first private taxi service to switch to a fleet of 100% electric taxis in November 2011.

Nissan and Veolia’s subsidiary in Hong Kong, Hong Kong District Cooling Company Limited (HKDC), have started joint field tests for the battery-electric Nissan e-NV200 commercial vehicle at Kai Tak Development (KTD). During the field test, HKDC will operate a Nissan e-NV200 for use as an operations vehicle in KTD.

Symbio has integrated a 15 kW (net) fuel cell range extender in a Nissan e-NV200 electric van, with plans to introduce the vehicle to the European taxi market.
