When Juice Americas launched its portable two-in-one EV charger , the J+ BOOSTER 2, in North America, Electrek was invited to review it. The company has expanded its payment options to Shop Pay by Shopify, Paypal, GPay by Google, and Venmo. Tesla’s 6-50 adapter can handle a maximum 32 amp output. Here’s how it went.

And one on Google's map. The units I found quite accidentally are Free Juice Bar dual-connector units. Free Juice Bar, as the name implies, dispenses electricity to cars without networks to join, credit cards to wave, or phone calls to release the precious, if not dear, electrons. Good for them.

The big EV news of the month was the first Tesla S deliveries. And given the range, workplace charging won’t be a big concern of Tesla S owners. Given the distance most commuters travel, charging at level 1 at work enables most drivers to get back all the juice expended getting to work. But what about the rest of us?

It’s been one full year since first Tesla S deliveries began. Given its range, and the rapidly growing free Supercharger network, the Tesla Model S works well for virtually everyone who can afford one. Without paid advertising, Tesla is selling all they can manufacture. Neither scenario encourages co-workers to buy PEVs.

And do you think anyone at Leviton bothered to even Google me? When we bought our first electric car in January of 2013, the Toyota Rav4 EV with the Tesla battery and powertrain, we followed Toyota’s advice on the right home charger to buy. He tested our breakers and NEMA outlet and all were working and providing juice.

Reply Neutral KilgoreTrout @ Apr 19th 2009 5:14PM True, but if I havent been mislead by the documentary I have seen, the Tesla should have an even better solution: you just plug it in any normal home outlet and it doesnt require any special plug. Tesla probably did not sign up because they are already making EV cars.
