Thanks to US golf cart maker E-Z-GO , which partnered with National Calendar Day to help establish National Golf Cart Day in celebration of the brand’s 70th anniversary, we can now all celebrate these pint-sized car replacements with their own holiday.

We’ll be producing a plug-and-play motor that can be manufactured at lower volumes without extensive commitment, and people will easily be able to use it for e-scooters, golf carts, e-bikes, autonomous robots or any other last-mile application. Based on several years spent elbow-deep in the Chinese electric micro-car industry , I can tell you these probably aren’t street-legal in much of the world, and may not even be street-legal in China. In addition to the current list of features, the company says that ahead of the official launch later this year, it will announce several innovative new features that “will be a first in the LSV industry.” The funny thing here is that I can already tell you what the detractors are going to say: that it’s an overpriced, glorified golf cart.
