The cars I'm talking about are known as " plug-in hybrids." They are similar to hybrids like the Toyota Prius, but they have bigger batteries and at night would be plugged into a standard 120-volt outlet to charge the batteries. that converted a regular Prius to a plug-in hybrid. This can be done right now.

Interestingly enough, the Automotive Class is "into" the study of hybrids at this time. While Denise was documenting the scene, EVJerr began his EVnthusiastic theme -- the spiel on "Kick Gas!" After all, if the US Stimulus Package program could do "Cash for Clunkers," then why not "Cash for Conversions!". How perfect!
