BMW i8 beats Mercedes S 500 PHEV, Golf GTE to win World Green Car award in New York

The BMW i8 plug-in hybrid ( earlier post ) was named the World Green Car at the World Car Awards in New York. Ian Robertson, Member of the Board of Management of BMW AG, responsible for Sales and Marketing BMW. Since 2005, the World Car Awards have been presented annually at the start of the New York International Auto Show.
