IMO environment meeting adopts mandatory energy efficiency measures for international shipping; first mandatory global GHG reduction regime for an international industry sector

First 100% Synthetic Fuel Passenger Jet Flight

South Africa-based Sasol recently provided the synthetic jet fuel for the first passenger aircraft flight fully fueled by a synthetic fuel; demonstrations of aviation synfuels have so far been using 50% blends with petroleum-based jet fuel. Tambo International Airport have flown using Sasol’s semi-synthetic jet fuel.
