The company’s modular, portable system—called the Roadie—is designed to make DC fast charging mobile. For example, with Instacart, my grocery store now lives on my phone. Servicing Teslas, Nissans, a couple of Mitsubishis sprinkled throughout there. So we’re DC fast charging at 20 kilowatts.

The panels generate DC current that varies with the solar power. It was one year ago that we decided to add solar panels to our roof.

Plugging in for short trips means all-electric driving Charging is also through regenerative braking that converts kinetic energy into electric energy and stores it in the battery when applying the brakes or coasting.
