The Yongsoo wave energy power plant, installed at berth 1 in the Korean Institute KRISO -Wave Energy Test Site (WETS), is preparing to produce green hydrogen from next year, according to a report from Ocean Energy Systems. The Yongsoo plant is a 500 kW fixed oscillating water column (OWC)-type wave energy converter. Source: OES.

The Abfallentsorgungs-Gesellschaft Ruhrgebiet mbH ( AGR ), a waste management company in Herten, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, has put a converted DAF CF 340 hydrogen fuel cell truck into operation as part of the EU-funded HECTOR (Hydrogen Waste Collection Vehicles in North West Europe) project.

Seven companies from the GET H2 initiative in Europe want to build a cross-border pipeline for green hydrogen. By using green hydrogen in refineries, in steel production and for other industrial uses, the overall project should be able to avoid CO 2 emissions of up to 16 million tonnes by 2030.
