People might be bored reading about the Prius but a review on four Priuses (2004, 2005, two 2006s) that my family owns that ran a total of 913k km (570k miles) should be interesting, right? We need to go back to November 2017, to the start of the ‘Prius Revolution’ in the family. This criteria only left the Prius in play.

The Ford C-MAX Hybrid ( earlier post ) is now officially EPA-certified at 47 mpg city, 47 mpg highway and 47 mpg combined (5.0L/100km), 100km), bettering the fuel economy of the Toyota Prius v by 3 mpg on the city cycle and 7 mpg on the highway (5 mpg combined). C-MAX Hybrid. C-MAX Energi.

The Prius Prime plug-in hybrid, unveiled at the 2016 New York International Auto Show in March ( earlier post ), features a larger 8.8 kWh battery pack for twice the electric range of its predecessor, as well as some enhancements to its powertrain, including a Toyota-first dual motor generator drive system. Pricing starts at $27,100.

This Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) still has all the off-road ability of a non-electrified Grand Cherokee, but when the battery has a charge does so in complete silence.
